I am incredibly excited to announce the launch of Together, a special fundraising campaign for the Great Plains Institute (GPI).
Between now and June 30 we will appeal for your philanthropic support through the power of stories that illustrate GPI’s impact on the clean energy transformation. Your investment is needed now more than ever so we can achieve our climate goals.
This campaign is being executed—Together—with one of our longtime partners, Madison Gas and Electric, which has generously agreed to match all gifts to GPI from now until June 30. All gifts will be matched up to $15,000.
We’re using the word Together to describe this fundraising campaign because it’s the only way we will reach a zero-emissions future and secure a better economy and environment. Our six-week campaign will showcase stories about people who are pivotal to GPI’s work in technology innovation, market creation and reform, and policy development. They work in multiple industries and organizations with diverse constituents and customers and play a key role in transforming the American energy system.
We are proud of the broad alliances we bring Together and how these coalitions forge solutions that no one group may have come to on its own. These unique coalitions are made up of individuals whose interests, goals, and aspirations are touched by GPI, and with whom we work diligently to solve the climate challenge.
We are telling these stories so that you can see the personal side of our organization, which embraces people across professions, borders, and political affiliations. We hope an increased understanding of our personal side will lead you to deepen your relationship with us, either by becoming a donor if you are not one already, or by making a special gift in addition to your annual contribution.
