I am thrilled to welcome Gail Nosek as the Great Plains Institute’s (GPI) communications director. Gail brings significant strategic communications, public relations, social media, and multi-media journalism experience that makes her an excellent fit to lead GPI’s communications as we celebrate our 20th anniversary and look to our next 20 years of transforming the energy system.
As communications director, Gail will lead GPI’s communications strategy and operation and public relations, including management of our communications team. Gail will also work closely with GPI’s development staff to help us better reach those who share a passion for GPI’s mission and would like to support our work and become more engaged with us.
Gail begins her work with GPI at an auspicious time; our programs have grown significantly and expanded their impact regionally and nationally. This trajectory of growth and impact presents incredible opportunities for communications and engagement with the people, organizations, businesses, and communities who are integral to achieving our mission.
As GPI’s impact continues to grow, Gail will play a critical role in advancing and amplifying the important progress we’re making to transform our energy system.
Prior to joining GPI, Gail was the Communications Director at Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota and also worked for several years as a journalist.
Please join me in welcoming Gail to GPI!
