We are excited to host our second annual Energy Innovation Celebration on September 29, 2016, at the beautiful Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Last year’s sold out event brought together the ‘Better Energy’ community – including an incredible diversity of leaders from industry, government, non-profits, and academia – to build momentum around and celebrate advancement of positive change on energy and climate from the local to international level.
The event kicked off with the Energy Innovation Collaboratory, a high level group of 40 leading thinkers and influencers around energy and climate brought together in an intensive, expert-facilitated discussion that resulted in a fascinating, collective look at our shared energy future. At the VIP Reception, top sponsors joined Collaboratory participants to network and build on the conversation already begun.
The evening culminated in an inspiring, fun, and energizing dinner and program, keynoted by Dr. Jonathan Pershing, the Principal Deputy Director of the Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis and Senior Advisor for Climate Change to the U.S. Secretary of Energy. In April of 2016, Dr. Pershing was appointed by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to lead the negotiations and implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement. We are so proud that he served as the keynote speaker for our inaugural Energy Innovation Celebration.
This year, we’re thrilled to announce Nancy Pfund as the keynote speaker for the 2016 Energy Innovation Celebration. A true thought leader, Ms. Pfund offers a unique perspective on the growing value of sustainably oriented businesses and organizations.
Nancy E. Pfund is Founder and Managing Partner of DBL Partners, located in San Francisco and Palo Alto. DBL Partners is a venture capital firm whose goal is to combine top-tier financial returns with meaningful social, economic and environmental returns in the regions and sectors in which it invests.
