This year during Drive Electric Week, EVs are coming to you! Keep a lookout for a rather unique orange one—that’s our Drive Electric Minnesota mascot, courtesy of Nissan North America!

With generous support from Great River Energy and our other partners, we’re coming to community events throughout the state. Find Drive Electric MN this weekend at Ramsey Happy Days, the Duluth Harvest Festival, in St. Paul at Como Park, and in Oakdale. Whether you just want to learn a little about electric vehicles or you feel like taking one for a test drive, check out our Facebookfor events in your area.

To stay up to date with our events and partner updates during the week stay tuned to the Drive Electric MN social media. If the EV bug bites you, make sure you request a voucher for 43% off a Nissan Leaf!

  • Ramsey Happy Days will take place on Saturday, September 10th, near the Ramsey Municipal Center. Electric vehicle owners from Minnesota Plug-in Vehicle Owners Circle (MNPEVOC) will join the festivities between 11:30am and 2:30pm to show off their vehicles and share their experiences. There will be an opportunity to test-drive EVs at this event. Connexus Energy, the electric cooperative based in Ramsey, will be there to answer questions as well.  Come learn about the benefits of electric vehicles, learn about EV programs from Great River Energy and Connexus Energy, and then stay for the live music and fireworks of Ramsey Happy Days! There will be a ride-and-drive event, and a chance to see the new Drive Electric MN car. Learn more about the festival and get directions here, and find the NDEW listing here.
  • Check out the Duluth Harvest Festival from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Bayfront Festival Park.  The Sustainable Farming Association hosts this annual event, which includes a farmers’ market, live music, crafts, and more! Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs) and Minnesota Power are sponsoring the Energy Fair portion of the festival this year.  There will be an electric boat from Symphony Boats, and a few EVs on display. Stop by to learn more about MN Power, Drive Electric Minnesota and the benefits of electric vehicles.  Find out more about the festival here, and see the NDEW event listing here.
  • Drive Electric Minnesota is excited to be partnering with the City of St. Paul and MNPEVOC to host an Electric Vehicle Open House at Como Park!  Come to the Como Park Pavilion on September 11th between 1:00 and 4:30pm for a chance to see electric vehicles up close and ask vehicle owners your questions—and pay a visit to our DEMN mascot car! While you learn about a fantastic electric vehicle discount and other EV benefits, enjoy a popsicle from St. Paul’s Pop Up Meeting electric vehicle. Find out more information about this event here.
  •  Check out Hy-Vee Oakdale’s event on Tuesday, September 13th at 6:00pm.  The grocery store is unveiling its new Supercharger and will have several electric vehicle owners at their event. This will be likely be the biggest gathering of EV owners during National Drive Electric Week in MN. The DEMN mascot will certainly be in attendance. Find out more here.

All of these events are in honor of National Drive Electric Week, which is helping to coordinate and raise awareness about events all over the country between September 10th and 18th.  DEMN can’t make it to all of them, but we hope you’ll go to whichever events are nearby!
