On March 7th, the Great Plains Institute was a sponsor of the Solar Powering Minnesota conference that brought together over 350 folks to bring their solar ideas to action.
The conference was hosted by the University of St. Thomas and was put together through a partnership led by Clean Energy Resource Teams and the Midwest Renewable Energy Association, with support from a host of colleague organizations including The Minnesota Department of Commerce, Minnesota Renewable Energy Society, CR Planning and MnSEIA.
The conference was a smashing success by all accounts! We came together to learn and connect about the programs, incentives and resources that will grow the solar deployment and economic development for Minnesota.
If you missed the conference but wanted to learn more, you can view or download the presentations here. You can also view the photos from the event here. Be sure to check out the selfie I took with MN Department of Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman and our keynote speaker Minh Le the Director of Solar Energy Technologies Office, U.S. Department of Energy. We were trying to be the second most retweeted picture after Ellen Degeneres’ Oscar photo!
The Great Plains Institute, a CERTs partner, looks forward to continued work to bring together stakeholders to advance the adoption of solar energy across the state, region and globe.
