Clean Energy Resources Abound!

There are big clean energy happenings in Minnesota’s Twin Cities metro region of the Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs)!

We started off 2016 by releasing the list of seed grant projects that were funded for this biennium that included some really exciting projects.

We have also just released the request for proposals (RFP) for the latest round of the Clean Energy Accelerator to provide assistance (vs. money) to advance clean energy in communities in the metro region. You can read more about the seed grants and the Accelerator RFP in the latest Metro CERT E-Newsletter.

All About That Solar

It turns out that 2016 is starting off like 2015 ended….It’s all about that solar, ’bout that solar, ’bout that solar!   The State of Minnesota is NOW taking applications through February 28th for the Made in Minnesota Solar Incentive.  Not sure if the numbers work for your house or business (or community center, place of worship, school, local government etc.)? CERTs has created a calculator just for the purpose of making that financial decision!

Lastly, if you are looking for more information about solar energy options, check out one of the Solar Power Hours in the Metro area over the next few months hosted by our colleagues at Midwest Renewable Energy Association.
