National Drive Electric Week, September 14-22, 2019, is a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Vision for Stillwater’s Energy Future
June 21, 2019 inJoin the Sustainable Stillwater Energy Working Group (EWG) for a listening session that aims to gather input from city residents/stakeholders to formulate an energy vision for the city of Stillwater. The EWG is looking for your input to guide our efforts for a clean energy future.
The Energy Working Group emphasizes the move to renewable energy and increased energy conservation to reduce our carbon footprint while improving the health and sustainability of our community. Our work supports the City of Stillwater’s GreenSteps program and extends to businesses, schools and residential properties. The event is co-hosted by Conversation Minnesota and Clean Energy Resource Teams (CERTs). Great Plains Institute directs the 11 county Twin Cities metro region of CERTs.

During the Summit, MTEC will unveil its consensus Road Map to Decarbonization by Midcentury: Transportation Electrification. This second installment of the Road Map to Decarbonization will include new analyses and recommendations to policy makers in the region on how to seize the opportunities electric vehicles (EVs) present.
